LED Strengths

Energy Efficient
The LED method of producing light loses far less energy to heat than do other lighting technologies. It's dramatically more efficient than the vacuum/filament method used in incandescent bulbs -- sometimes around 85 percent more efficient; and 50% more energy efficient than fluorescent lights..

Long Lifespan
You could go 20 years without having to change an LED light bulb. Solid-state lights like LEDs are more stable light sources than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs, and the difference is startling: A typical incandescent bulb lasts about 750 hours; a Handson Bulb lasts at least 30,000 hours. This long lifespan not only conserves resources, but also reduces the waste from used lighting fixtures.

Better Color Rendering
LED light sources are colorful, yet pure. As a result, the white LEDs’ color rendering capability is much better than a high-pressure sodium light. The high-pressure sodium lights’ color rendering index is about 20, whereas the white LED light can reach 65-80. LED light sources are also much closer to white light than traditional lighting, and objects under these conditions appear much closer to their natural color.

Fast Response Time
In terms of LED lights being used in automobile signals, their fast response time has proven highly successful in helping improve human reaction time and preventing accidents.

Multiple Applications
Due to the recent developments in LED technology, there have been great advances from their use in numeric displays and indicator lights to a range of new and potential applications, including architectural lights, exit signs, accent lights, task lights, traffic lights, signage, cover lighting, wall sconces, outdoor, indoor, aviation and automobile lighting, etc.
